Supported by World Heart Federation, CLUBMEDS is a feasibility study to evaluate a club-based medication delivery strategy in Southeast Nigeria. The ultimate goal of implementing this strategy is to improve access to essential medicines to achieve the World Health Organisation (WHO) target of 50% of eligible people receiving medication to prevent heart attacks and strokes and, therefore, ultimately contribute to the World Heart Federation (WHF) and WHO target of “25 x 25” to reduce premature cardiovascular disease (CVD) death globally by at least 25% by 2025.The study is led by Shiva Raj Mishra at NEDS, as part of the emerging leader’s program at WHF.
