Nepal Development Society (NeDS), in partnership with Human Practice Foundation (HPF), Nepal is going to launch the project “Creating district-wide behavioural change by school-based approach”. This project’s main objective is to provide knowledge, skills, and expertise on Health Training focusing on diabetes and other NCD for which we aim to change behavioural and dietary aspects for the prevention of diabetes, life skill and health related awareness activities. The organization invites application from highly motivated, skilled, dynamic and result oriented Nepali Citizen for the following positions based in Taplejung.

   1. Position: Health Officer

   2. Required Number: 1

   3. Qualification, experience and attributes:

  • At least Heath Assistant or Staff Nurse. Candidates with BN or BSC Nursing qualifications will be preferable.
  • Sound knowledge and experience on a public health approach.
  • At least two year’s experience in the relevant field.
  • Good knowledge of diabetes NCD prevention, treatment, and public orientation. 
  • Good knowledge of computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email)
  • Good knowledge of speaking English, typing in English and Nepali.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Maintain work ethics and confidentiality.
  • Positive attitude with a good team player.

   4. Specific Roles to be performed:

  • Prepare the curriculum for diabetes, life orientation and other NCD.
    • Conduct the behavioral and dietary change counseling activities at schools, health institutions and community.
  • Prepare monthly work-plan and mobilize the relevant staff accordingly.
    • Conduct training related to diabetes life orientation and other NCD.
  • Monitor and mobilized other staff related to Creating district-wide behavioral change by school-based approach, WDF19-1706” project.
  • Conduct other activities as per the office requirement.
  • Support the other staff on conducting activities related to the project.
  • Reporting of the project status and progress to Executive Director
  • Cooperate with other staff on carrying the relevant activities.
  • Perform other tasks as asked by Executive Director

 

   1. Position: Assistant Health Officer 

   2. Required Number: 1

   3. Qualification, experience and attributes:

  • At least ANM or CMA or intermediate nursing degree passed.
  • Sound knowledge and experience on a public health approach.
  • At least two years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Good knowledge of NCD prevention, including diabetes, treatment and public orientation. 
  • Good knowledge of computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email)
  • Good knowledge on speaking English, typing in English and Nepali.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Maintain work ethics and confidentiality.
  • Positive attitude with a good team player.

   4. Specific Roles to be performed:

  • Conduct the behavioral and dietary change counseling activities at schools, health institutions and community.
  • Work as per the monthly work-plan ensuring quality output.
    • Conduct training related to diabetes life orientation and other NCD.
  • Monitor and mobilized health workers and FCHV related to Creating district-wide behavioral change by school-based approach, WDF19-1706” project.
  • Support the other staff on conducting activities related to the project.
  • Reporting of the project status and progress to HO.
  • Cooperate with other staff on carrying the relevant activities.
  • Perform other tasks as asked by HO.

 

    1. Position: Project Assistant (Accounting)

   2. Required Number: 1

   3. Specific Qualification

  • At least Intermediate (+2) in Management.
  • Prior work experience with NGOs in a similar field will be an additional asset.
  • At least two years experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping system.
  • Good knowledge of computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email)
  • Added advantage if handled finance individually.
  • Good knowledge on speaking English, typing in English and Nepali.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Maintain work ethics and confidentiality.
  • Positive attitude with a good team player.

   4. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Voucher for all the Income and Expenses with supporting documentation
  • Ensuring the payment to suppliers on time.
  • Handle Petty Cash in line according to NeDS financial policy 
  • Visit Bank for cheque deposit, cash withdrawal, bank statements, etc.
  • Prepare bank-reconciliation statement on monthly basis.
  • Handle stock and inventory management with timely updates.
  • Handle asset and other logistic procurement as approved and update the asset register, coding, placement.
  • Perform other tasks as asked by Admin and Finance Manager and Executive Director 
  • Day to day operations procedure of project.
