Job Summary: Nepal Development Society (NeDS) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support the HRIDAYA Project. The position involves field-based data collection on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), ensuring accuracy, reliability, and ethical compliance. The role requires regular travel within Kageshwori Manohara, Changunarayan, and Madhya Nepal Municipalities, including visits to remote wards and households.
Key Responsibilities
• Adhere to Nepal Development Society and Nepal Health Research Council ethical standards.
• Participate in training and collect data using tablet/mobile-based tools.
• Record measurements accurately and maintain detailed field notes.
• Ensure data quality, safety, and timely submission.
• Coordinate with participants, health facilities, and local stakeholders.
• Obtain informed consent and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
• Regularly report progress and challenges to the Field Supervisor.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in health or social sciences).
• Prior experience in research data collection; knowledge of tablet/mobile data collection preferred (not mandatory).
• Two-wheeler with a valid license preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with health facility staff, stakeholders, and study participants.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
