Bishoksan Kafle

Bishoksan Kafle, PhD graduate from Roskilde University, Denmark, is a seasoned computing professional with over a decade of experience in modelling and verification, artificial intelligence, automated reasoning, and data science. Currently, he serves within the Australian government’s Australian Public Service (APS), leveraging his skills to drive operational outcomes through adept problem-solving and decision-making.

Kafle’s professional journey reflects a global perspective, proficient in several languages, and extensive international exposure spanning industry, academia, and (non)-governmental sectors across five continents (Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Australia). He has held diverse roles such as an APS employee, assessor at the Australian Research Council, visiting research scientist at NASA, and research fellow at IMDEA Software and the University of Melbourne. He holds an honorary research fellowship at the University of Melbourne and contributes as an assessor for the Australian Research Council. Kafle has co-chaired numerous international conferences, including the recent International Symposium on Logic-Based Program Synthesis and Transformation.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Kafle is deeply interested in meditation, mind power, and mysticism, enriching his holistic approach to life and work.

He has been engaged with NEDS since its inception in various capacities.
