JTIPS ” Intervention development for trafficked Nepali Labour Migrant”

The name of the project is Intervention Development for Trafficked Nepali Labor Migrants, which shall also be named Enhanced Network for Safety and Occupational Health Utilization and Risk Evaluation, in short as ENSURE-Nepal.

The project is funded by the United States Department of State and jointly managed by the four partners: La Isla Network Inc., USA; Nepal Development Society (NeDS); Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA; and Bournemouth University, UK. The project’s major intervention area shall be Nepal, including the destination countries of Nepalese Migrants. The project aims to assess the challenges Nepali labor migrants face that influence them to choose to migrate; whether they go through formal or informal recruitment channels; the conditions they face while working abroad and the potential consequences of the migration, including the risk of trafficking. Based on this research, the project shall design a scalable intervention that supports migrants at each stage, from pre-departure training to safer conditions at work and improved access to care and services upon return. The duration of the project shall be 48 months. For more detail click the link below:
