Dr. Shrestha is an External Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Research, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense. He completed his PhD from the Center for Global Health, Department of Public Health, Aarhus University, Denmark and Master in Public Health (MPH), School of public health, SRM University, Chennai, India. He is actively involved in research collaborations and in the coordination and delivery of Global Health courses for Master’s students in Medicine and Allied Health Sciences at SDU. His work includes community-based research on non-communicable diseases, with a particular focus on cervical cancer, diabetes and hypertension, and he has a growing interest in climate and health nexus. In addition to his academic contributions, he has significant experience teaching university students and working with national and international partners. He is also a member of the Nepal Development Society, a Nepal-based non-governmental organization dedicated to development and public health initiatives.
