Dr Narayan Subedi, PhD, CRFC, MPH

Biography

Dr. Narayan Subedi is a public health researcher and graduate of the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Deakin University, Australia. His work focuses on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), implementation science, cardiac rehabilitation, health systems, and physical activity promotion in Nepal. He recently authored the editorial Physical Activity Research in Nepal at a Crossroads in the Journal of Nepal Health Research Council.

Dr. Subedi serves as the Country Contact for Global Observatory for Physical Activity (GoPA!) and Global Observatory for Physical Education (GoPE!), contributing to Nepal’s Country Cards to support evidence-based policy and advocacy. He is also the country lead for Global Matrix 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0, physical activity report card development for children and adolescents and the SUNRISE Pilot Study in Nepal. Through collaborations with national and international experts, he works to strengthen physical activity research and education in Nepal and advance the integration of physical activity into national health priorities for NCD prevention.
