A former Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Monash University with a PhD in Epidemiology, Dr. Thapa is an award-winning communicator (Three Minute Thesis People’s Choice Award) distinguished for translating complex research into actionable insights for governments, donors, and multilateral agencies. Previous senior roles include positions with Save the Children International, German Development Cooperation (GIZ), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), where Dr. Thapa designed and led monitoring & evaluation frameworks, large-scale health surveys, and flagship programs in HIV/AIDS, newborn health, and health governance.
