Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Kaski District
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Duration: One year with possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, label, and transport blood and biological samples, ensuring quality and safety.
- Conduct laboratory tests, including HbA1c, and prepare accurate reports.
- Assist Physicians and Healthcare teams during field activities.
- Distribute test reports to individuals and provide basic result explanations.
- Design and maintain data recording and reporting formats.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and adherence to quality control standards.
- Manage inventory of lab supplies and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with the NeDS team, health facilities, and field teams for smooth operations.
- Always uphold biosafety and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma/Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT/DMLT).
- Knowledge of diagnostic tests and sample management.
- Strong communication, data management, and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a field and community-based setting.
