Job Title: Research Assistant – Data Collection

Job Summary:
We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for collecting data in the field, ensuring accuracy and reliability of the information gathered, and supporting various research projects especially related to non-communicable diseases.
This is a field-based position that requires extensive travel to Pokhara metropolitan city, including remote wards and households.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow Nepal Development society and Nepal Health Research Council ethical guidelines.
Attend training and collect accurate data using tablet/mobile-based data collection tool.
Record measurements and maintain detailed notes.
Ensure data safety, accuracy, and timely submission.
Coordinate with participants, health facilities, and related stakeholders.
Maintain professionalism and ensure informed consent.
Report progress and issues to the Field Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably in health sciences sector.
Basic knowledge and experience on research data collection (prior experience of tablet/mobile-based data collection is preferred but not a requirement).
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with stakeholders, health facilities staff and study participants.
Having driving licenses for two wheelers is preferred.
Able to work independently or in a team.
Effective communication skills.
Remuneration:
A competitive salary will be provided monthly, subject to the submission of an approved timesheet and assigned deliverables by the Field Coordinator. The individual is required to submit the approved timesheet for each assigned task.
